St. Agnes College is a premier institution which from its inception in 1921 has imparted education to the women of ?South India. It has ever since proved to be a standard bearer of repute in the field. The college promotes sound social and family values that make for the institutions internal up gradation, especially in the areas of teaching and learning, research publication, faculty improvement and extension activities.  The college took the initiative of submitting itself to the accreditation process conducted by the NAAC.  It was the first institution in Mangalore University to do so.  The college has the honour of being awarded a ‘Five Star’ grade.  Following the reaccreditations process, by the NAAC in 2005, the college earned an ‘A’ Grade.  It has, besides, been recognized as a 'College with Potential for Excellence' by the U.G.C.  To promote academic excellence in teaching and research, the management of St. ?Agnes College has accepted the status of academic autonomy for the college in 2007.

          St. Agnes College Library(Under Graduate): The library of this renowned college aims at developing a comprehensive collection of materials in the Arts, Humanities, Social Science and Science and Technology, giving vital support to teaching and research in the college. The library has grown over the years to be one of the best college libraries in the region. The library operation is computerized. There is a alth of materials which includes over 60,000 books and print and electronic journals.         St. Agnes Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Research Library (Post Graduate): The Post Graduate Centre has its own well quipped and well  and well managed library with modern  infrastructural facility. Since it is  a an extension centre of the Under Graduate library students are provided an opportunity to utilize both UG and  PG library. Library has WIFI connectivity which enables the  users to use their own Laptops within the campus.PG library has in its collection more than thousand books and subscribes to various electronic resources through Institutional memberships.
